Now you are talking T. Cobe, I recommended Lucinda Williams a while back, she is awesome!!!!!
Brad, I hope you are right about the pendulum swinging back. YES GE and Emotiva to name a couple (there are more) are making high end affordable for folks. And that should be a BIG deal!!!! But like you said, how are they even gonna know? Everything is "good enough".
Oh you participated in the tiddlywinks tournament today, let's give you an award for trying!!!!
Sorry, I have to shut up, don't get me started.
Happy Listening,
God Bless,
Wayne
OK this never did send so I will add more that I was thinking. To be fair, the mass market folks that make things to a price point, let's just say Marantz, for instance, they have upped the ante and their mid priced receivers these days are so much better sounding than a mid priced receiver of say 10 years ago. For those of us not made of money, it is getting easier and cheaper to get decent sound.
Thanks GoldenEar Tech and others!!!
God bless the child that's got his own.

T Cobe: was listening to Lucinda Williams video. Couldn't understand much of what she was saying, so decided to go on the internet and look up the song lyrics.
"West Memphis"

Three little boys were found in the river
On a sweltering summer night
Not one soul ever figured it out
Who created that terrible sight
Now somebody's gotten away with murder
And a horrible offense
But that's the way we do things in West Memphis

They didn't like the music I listened to
They didn't like the way I dressed
They set me up with a forced confession
I never had a chance
They threw the book at me
At my expense
They got no common sense
But that's the way they do things in West Memphis

[Refrain:]
Yeah that's the way we do things in West Memphis
That's the way we do things in West Memphis
It's never been any different
So don't come around here and try to mess with us
'Cause that's the way we do things in West Memphis

I was framed and sentenced
To a life in prison
For a crime I didn't commit
Wasn't nobody listened
Or rose to my defense
Somebody planted the evidence
And he's been lying ever since
But that's the way we do things in West Memphis

And after all these years they still refuse
To say what really happened
The crooked methods that they used
To frame an innocent man
Are hiding in the darkest secrets
Behind every picket fence
And that's the way we do things in West Memphis

[Refrain:]
That's the way we do things in West Memphis
Yeah that's the way we do things in West Memphis
It's never been any different
So don't come around here and try to mess with us
'Cause that's the way we do things in West Memphis

Yeah that's the way we do things in West Memphis
Yeah that's the way we do things in West Memphis
It's never been any different
So don't come around here and try to mess with us
'Cause that's the way we do things In West Memphis

That's just the way we do things in West Memphis
That's just the way we do things in West Memphis

Pardon my French...but I ain't moving to West Memphis

How do they do things in Wisconsin?

Anthem,

Our legal system in the U.S. Is a mess. I'm sure things like this happen in all 50 states. Prosecutors, like all attorneys, want to win. Combine th legal system with politics and you have a real mess...! Some towns and cities are known to be more corrupt than others. Katrina, for example, showed just how broken and corrupt New Orleans was at the time.

Anyways, good song but Lucinda does have a unique vocal style. To me, it sounds a bit like the result of a stroke or a bad speech impediment; however, she speaks normally so I don't think it's anything other than her "style". I like her music but my Wife couldn't get past the pronunciation and she's a much bigger fan of country music than I am.

Cheers,

T Cobe

What a phenomenal trumpet player...Lin Rountree/Serendipitous (2013) -- Why So.

Roman I'm so glad you have your "pants on"...I can only imagine what else might be "moving to the bass." :)
