Very nice, Anthem. Another album added to my wish list. That is quite a line up of Jazz superstars collaborating on one album. As always, how's the sound quality?

Cheers,

T Cobe

T Cobe : Sound quality (8) It's on Blue note. It is an Rudy Van Gelder Edition -- It was transferred from analog to digital, using 24 bit resolution. I'm finding the RVG Editions are quite good. On occasion, I come across a rough sounding one, but not to often. Purchased through Amazon's Used cd department, this cd can be bought for "not much scratch."I think this recording is well worth your time.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

T. Cobe,
Sound quality depends on whether it was recorded when the elevator was going up or when it was going down. It is the vertical form of the Doppler effect, called the Anthem effect. When going up, every pitch drops down a half step towards the floor, and piano sounds slide toward the side of the elevator where the control panel is. And sax/trumpet sounds try to get as far away as possible, but of course that is not very far at all (not nearly far enough for me) inside an elevator.
Coming down the effect is reversed, sounds shifting higher, only there is spit/drool on the roof of the elevator (and the occasional scream of fear can be heard if the elevator is dropping very fast). Those screams are just barely caught on tape and are what Bro Anthem calls "rough sounding" as he is impervious to fear after all his weight-lifting.
I hope this helps boys, have fun with your chosen poison, er, musical stylings.
God Bless, Wayne

Like you???
I love you Bro Anthem.
It's your music, I just can't think of anything nice to say about it, so I am trying to find something positive to enjoy with you two good guys.
OR
As they say in the movie Steel Magnolias, "If you don't have anything nice to say about someone, come over here and sit by me!"
something like that, it has been a long time since I saw that movie.
Feel the Love!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne
