Anthem, good luck with your follow up appointment. Are you back to your normal workout routine yet? I'll eventually try the power cable upgrades but I have more pressing purchases. In the meantime, I'll wait to hear more on the subject from you, Rick, and Dilettante (who seems to have been absent for,a while). Hopefully you two are still getting together for some listening sessions and experiments in audio. It's nice to be able to share something your passionate about.
Cheers,
T Cobe

Good luck at the doc's today, Anthem!
Re Venom 3 power cords, that's the first thing on my to do list when I get back to TX on 9/19. I'm going to pre-order three (plus a Defender power conditioner/surge protector) so they'll be there when I get back. I'm going to try the power cords on the surround T2's first... I'm just curious about why receivers can seem "shy" about sending lots of bass to powered Tritons, maybe more so than pre-amp/amp combo's, and the T2's are powered by the AVR directly (set as LARGE), while the front T1's are powered through a NAD stereo amp. Just curious to see if the Venom's make the receiver/powered Triton interaction work some better. Then I'll try a Venom 3 on the AVR, the NAD amp, probable the cd player, and on the T1's, and make a decision on how many more Venom 3's to get. If I add an Emotiva center channel amp, I guess that's one more Venom power cord also.
I'll let everyone know how it works out.

Looking forward to your report when you get back to TX.
I must admit, I think you must have real Golden Ears to hear the differences you are looking for.
I hope you can and that they are good differences.
I must admit I cannot.
Happy listening, happy trails,
God Bless, Wayne

Highest recommendation from me but you can listen to some of the tracks online to get a taste. The sound on disc is nothing short of spectacular.
Cheers,
