I didn't expect any changes either, but boy they are there. I hesitate to say this, but I think the changes are more profound than when I went to high-end interconnects and speaker cables. And those produced big changes.

Go figure.

I concur 100%, Charlie. Same for me. Including the "go figure" part!

Thanks Charlie and Rick,
Well, I won't go as far as you guys, because I heard a more dramatic change and for the best when I dropped the silver speaker cables for the TOnes, and went to the MIT cables.
BUT, again, I did not have stock PCs in place anywhere, and have 220 Volts.
The new PC did make a clear, improved, noticeable difference over my Furutech cable. But not as great an improvement to my ears as my speaker cables did. Probably more than any change in interconnects I have heard/used. Will give you that.
My power is crappy in the sense that it goes brown down a couple of times a day, off completely once every other day or so, because my power conditioner QUICKLY shuts down if the power gets too low. But when it is on, like right now, most times I have 230 Volts or so and my conditioner cuts that back to 220 VAC. Then we are on easy street.
Going by what you passed on Charlie from Nelson Pass, again I feel my 220 V supply being twice what you guys have, there must surely be LESS draw down problem like he described.
But, what do I know????
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Sounds pretty crappy to me! I wonder what's going on during those times it seems OK. As I wonder about mine...

Hi Charlie,
Well, I have a readout right here in front of me showing the voltage coming in and the voltage corrected to run all my stuff.
The power conditioner puts out 220 all the time, constant. The only time it doesn't is when the incoming gets too low, then it shuts off fast as.
I wouldn't dare run this gear without it.
Don't you run your power through a conditioner?
If not, then you may need one or a regenerator.
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne,

Yes, I have a Furman PL-Pro C 20 A conditioner in the line, and I did notice an improvement in the sound when I put that into the power chain.

What are you running?

It's probably overkill for me to use a regenerator, but after hearing so much improvement with the PCs and conditioner, I can't help but wonder if a regenerator would give me another boost. The $10k price tag definitely gives me pause...

Yeah, Charlie, that much money would not just give me pause, but a heart attack.
I have a Magnet Audio IRG-2000.
I believe it is made in Thailand, not sure, but even then it was not cheap.
In my case it is totally necessary, IMHO.
