Hello Chuckinator,

If the spikes cause you any problems, or if you want to change the elevation provided by the spikes, or if you want to add some back-to-front tilt to the speakers, search the forum for my posts about using 1/4 x 20 round head bolts instead of the spikes.

Best,

Art

Has anyone heard of or used "Vibrapods" (or something else that purportedly turns vibration into heat)? Supposedly "better" as reported by some users than traditional spikes.

I replaced the supplied spikes with Gaia IIs - they made a nice improvement in focus to my ears on my Triton 2s.

I too am interested in the Gaia. Did tonality stay the same but just improve imaging?

I'm not really sure if tonality improved, I think maybe not but hard to say....

I installed the Gaia II's under my T1"s and I don't plan on removing them. I have not noticed any change in tonality, although the low end seems deeper and tighter. I turn the powered section lower than I used to. I previously kept the sub dialed between 12:00 and 1:00 and now it stays between 11:30 and 12:30 depending on the recording.

The largest change, by far, was the imaging. The placement of sounds within the soundstage are much more defined. Everything has a greater focus. It was a little distracting at first when I listened to music I'd recently played. I kept picking out minor details instead of enjoying the music. After a month I can say I really like what the new feet have added to my system.
