Minchaca:
Lot's of great amps out there. You need to tell us what the amp will be used for, what kind of music you listen to. Will it be used for Home Theater? Are you a rocker in need of blowing the roof off the house, or are you a jazz, background music sort of guy. Interested in tubes or solid state or a combination of both? What's your budget? Give us a little information about your wants and needs and I know the guys here will come up with many fine suggestions.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Minchaca,

Welcome to the forum. Do you have your Triton Ones already? +1 on all of Anthem's questions and comments. In addition to uses and preferences, can you tell us a little about the space they occupy? You will definitely get a lot of recommendations here.

Cheers,

T Cobe

The amp. will be use just fot music. I choose this speakers because I will not use any subwoofer. And this speakers have a great bass response.
About the budget, that doenst really matter. It has to be a hi-fi equipment so thats going to be expensive.
Ill use for all type of music, from Jazz to R&B, rock, etc.
The thing is that I need a amp that feed this pair of Tritons with a great amount of power (maybe 650W per channel?)

Thanks

Hi, Minchaca

Welcome to the forum! There are lots of people here who would love to help you.

As always, anthem has offered great advice.

My experience with the T1's is that they are phenomenal speakers that are robustly designed to play many different inputs and sound just great. They are NOT fussy speakers! BUT, they will reward you with fantastic sound quality, clarity and nuance as you upgrade what you feed them. I'm not so sure that wattage ratings of the amps is a good judge of what will get you where you want to be.They do have 1,600 watt subs already.

As anthem said, what you are looking for in term of music type, and are you looking for an external amp with the pre amp already decided, or a receiver?

I can tell you that Triton 1's are, in my opinion, in a class by themselves in terms of sound quality for the money. So, if you've already purchased them, CONGRATULATIONS! If you're still in the decision stage, as T Cobe has said in another post, "They had me at hello".

Good luck!

Rick

Minchaca,

Check out speaker efficiency and output dB levels. You Triton Ones will be quite loud with very low wattage. The prevailing wisdom and recommendation has been a high quality amp versus quantity of watts. I'd recommend going back to your dealer and giving their various amps a try. If your just doing stereo music, I'd recommend an integrated amp. There are many out there and the few at the top of my list would be a Hegel H-300 or H-360, Parasound Halo Integrated, Anthem Integrated 225, Rogue Pharoah, and the Peach Tree Nova220SE. The Hegel would be at the very top of my list.

Best thing to do is listen to as many options as you can with your own ears. Everybody has their own listening preferences. Don't be too concerned with wattage and numbers. Let us know how the hunt goes.

Cheers,

T Cobe
