75-85 db...I think I found your next amp. The 1/2 watt Nano Head from Z. Vex Amps....the world's smallest production tube amp. This little marvel is a one-half watt (distorted) powerhouse that will surprise you with its apparent volume. Plug it into a 4X12 (or any 8 to 16 ohm speaker) and listen to it roar! This amp is voiced to deliver classic rock tone, with a very high level of crunch available if it's wanted. Just crank the volume knob around to the level of distortion you desire, from a very quiet (one tenth watt) clean mode to a micro-Marshall (TM) blast when cranked up. I am making myself a little ill (gag!) trying to describe the tone of my Nano, using the same tired old phrases that all the amp and distortion box makers use, but I think it's true... it does a great job of emulating big amps at very reasonable volumes, which makes it exceptionally nice for recording.
Let us know how she sounds.

Echo what T Cobe and anthem have said. AND don't forget that in the watts/db/efficiency charts that TCobe showed, that's assuming the amp supplies ALL the power. So, with the T1's sub amps taking up a big piece of the load, you REALLY don't have to worry about under supplying the T1's with watts. Go for qualiity of sound, and it's what YOUR ears like that counts.
Seriously, you have invested in FANTASTIC speakers. Feed them fantastic sound quality and they will repay you many times over.

Yes, Anthem, 75 to 85 dB. I know, that's not very lout but I still want to be able to hear the music when I hit my mid to late 50s. It would be nice to still be able to deadlift by that age too.
I'm not sure .5 watts would quite do the trick. I think I would need at least 1 watt, preferably 2 for some headroom.
Cheers,
T Cobe

I agree with so much of what everyone has said (except some of the silliness of my bros Anthem and T. ha ha), Rick said it perfectly, feed those FANTASTIC speakers with Quality sound and power. They will reward you.
MacIntosh or Classe', yes, sure, why not?
I think many of us here are on a more strict budget than that so are trying to make a little more budget friendly suggestions to you.
Once again, listen to as many amps as you can, and with the Triton Ones, IF possible.
I really do not think you can go wrong. You are looking at the right equipment and asking the right questions.
Now, pardon us, Minchaca, you did start this thread.
BUT
Anthem, I have a headphone amp very much like that, and for phones it is sweet!!!!
T. Cobe, 75 - 85 dB????? REALLY?????? I can pass gas louder than that, and I am seriously SURE my T 2s "like" to be played louder than that, they really start to come alive and sing with a bit of volume.
Case in point, I am listening to Dvorak's "New World Symphony" (I will HAVE to write this blu-ray up soon) and
1. Last night I had it on and got called to dinner, so it was playing WAY in another room, the home theater and even far away it sounded fantastic!!!!!!
2. Tonight I have the lovely wife (who does NOT like classical music) sitting beside me, going to sleep but kindly sitting beside me, I am playing the same concert but with the sound turned right down, probably 75-85 dB (ha ha, sorry bro T.) and this terribly exciting / moving symphony is doing nothing for me or anybody. The Triton towers LOVE to get down!!!!!
At least mine do.
Thanks to let me put in my two cents (and 10 watts) worth!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne

Ok perfect!
Ill start looking for different options of amps!
I might look for one that gives me 300W per channel. (As seen on the chart dB/watts, I think thats a great amount of power) Now Ill look for QUALITY.
Im sorry if the budget thing sounds kind of "conceited", but honestly the cost for a great amp doesnt matter.
Thank you everyone for all the support and comments!!! I think this forum thing helps everyone (if is true info.)
Cheers

Hey Minchaca,
Don't worry about conceited, I think everyone here will be happy for you and VERY eager to hear your reports if you can put a REALLY great amp, an expensive amp, with loads of power on the Triton Ones. We would cheer you and want to know how it sounds.
As mentioned, GoldenEar often demonstrates their speakers at shows with the Pass labs amps so they must be great. See if you can audition ATI amps, they look pretty sweet. Their AT 6002 is 300 wpc and may be just what you are looking for. I have enjoyed Bel Canto amps, you might check them out.
Please let us know what you find and how your search comes out.
All the best
God Bless
Wayne
