Minchaca,

What are your room dimensions and what pre-amplifier do you have? Both of these will help a lot with a recommendation.

Cheers,

T Cobe

As T Cobe has stated, don't be concerned with wattage and numbers. It would probably blow your mind, but the number of watts you think an amp is putting out is actually quite minimal in most cases. An 200 watt solid state amp would be enough for 99% of the population. T Cobe has listed many good choices. One in particular I'd like to listen to is the Helel amps.

Another consideration is the Decware ZMA Mystery Amp - Tube 40 watt Class A Mono-blocks $5,695. Tone Audio 2014 Product of the Year Award.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Budget Options: Emotiva XPA-1 or XPA-1L

Mid Price: Parasound Halo JC-1, Anthem P2, McIntosh

High End: Pass Labs, Audio Research, or Hegel

There are a lot of tube amp options as well but I know little about them. Anthem is a proud Decware owner and they look outstanding. GoldenEar Technology very frequently uses Pass Labs monoblock amps, so my guess is they sound fantastic. They would certainly be my cost is no object first audition. Knowing what pre-amp you have would certainly help.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Hi Minchaca and welcome to the forum!!!!
And congratulations on choosing one of the best speakers in the world!!!!
You are gonna have a GREAT sounding system, for sure!!!!
I really like tubes in my system, and the pre-amp is probably the best place for them. With the powerful bass the Triton Ones have, I would be careful of tubes being in any place where the bass sound waves coming off those big bad boys could impinge on the tubes causing ringing and distortion (unless you are going for a Jimi Hendrix sound, ha ha). But I have a surround processor, so no tubes there. That is why I went with hybrid tube/solid state amps from Vincent. They are not that easy to find I guess and not that cheap (but not nose bleed either), so just saying, IF you run across them I would highly recommend the Vincent mono block hybrid amps. The model numbers have changed since I got mine, not sure which ones you will find out there. But Audio Adviser has this Vincent hybrid stereo amp at a very reasonable $2500 (first world reasonable) for Class A first 10 watts (the most important watts), 150 wpc full stereo power into 8 ohms and 300 wpc at 4 ohms. The Absolute Sound loved this amp. www.audioadvisor.com/prodinfo.asp?number=VISP331MK
We will all have our favorites. Just wanted to share mine with you.
Happy listening whatever you decide will be fantastic I am sure.
God Bless, Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

Awesome info regarding this topic!

Cool.

Guys Im using the M1DAC (Musical Fidelity) as my pre, this is a DAC system.

What I really want to know is, how much power does my amp need to have? enough to feed my Triton One?
I read in the manual that the rec. amplification its about 20 - 650W/channel, but how much do I really need per channel?
