+1 on what Wayne has said. If cost is no object, I'd be looking at Pass Labs, Audio Research, Hegel, and Krell. McIntosh is a bit bland if you have the resources to go more exotic plus I think their sound is over rated. My Emotiva gear sounds every bit as good though it may not last 30 years like McIntosh. Pass Labs and Hegel would be at the top of the list... Just my opinions.

I've read on this forum (maybe earlier in this thread) as well as in a couple audio magazines that Sandy uses SET tube amps on his personal set of T1s. Does anyone know what amps he's using?

Sandy's pride and joy is an Line Magnetic 219IA Set Tube Integrated Amp. It's hugh and will probably raise the rooms temperature by 10 degrees. :laugh:

Don't overlook the Decware Zen Mystery Amp...push-pull design. I'll bet this amp could knock your socks off.
