Update:

Got the Emotiva XPA-5 Gen 2. Holy Sh&$!!

I am not sure why but it really sounds much better than the XPA-3 (my only guess is although they are both 200 watts/Channel, The XPA-5 has way more clean power in reserve as the surrounds use less power). I did not get the XDRCA cables yet (they got delayed). Nor did I run Audessy XT-32 since I got the Triton 1, SCXXL, and SS3's. We will see what change that gives.

The SCXXL brings it all together so much that I prefer running it in Surround Dolby IIX Music even when the source is Stereo (Crossing the SCXXL at 40 hz as the bass is so tight and natural).

I am definitely enjoying this latest upgrade. :P

P.S. Now I just need to get two more sets of open box SS3's from my dealer for my Surround Back and Height channels :woohoo:
L/R: Triton 1
C: SuperCenter XXL
FLH/FRH: SuperSat 3
SL/SR: Triton 3+
SBL/SBR: SuperSat 3
Denon AVR 4311CI
Emotiva XPA 5 (Gen 2) for L/C/R/SL/SR
DSPeaker Anti Mode 8033 Sub EQ
Oppo BDP-103D
Samsung UN 55C8000 (2010)
Apple TV 4
Motorola Verizon FiOS Box

Hi Aribraun, I agree the SCXXL really brings things together. I am also experimenting with 2 channel music in PLIIx Music mode. I am starting to really like it!! The XPA-5 GEN 2 has a massive transformer 1,200VA, same as the XPA1 and 2!! Emotiva is one of the only manufacturer that post real power results with ALL channels driven. So I am not surprised it sounds so good:) It is very capable of driving all 5 channels.

There are some really informative videos from Audiohaulics about amps and "Stated Power" on receivers. Many are just lying about what it can really output with all channels driven. It's worth the time to watch them. They also test Emotiva amps and verify the results Emotiva posts.

Here is a link to the video.

Enjoy!!

Hey DT and Aribraun,
I think your main point is about how great the SC XXL is. I wish I had room for it!!!!
On your other point:
I too really like surround sound, but don't usually mess with it on stereo music, I guess it goes against my "purist" views.
But then again, IF I cannot get the music I like in surround sound, (SACDs and Blu-ray concerts, etc.) then I am as likely to listen
to the POS (Poor old stereo) on headphones as I am to listen with my Triton 2s.
BUT when watching TV (even football games) I really enjoy matrix surround sound, usually DTS Neo 6 Cinema or Music.
Watching the Hawaii Five-0 right now, and enjoying the surround sound.
Keep the great reports coming,
Happy Listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

It would need to be more of a shelf than a bracket, the SuperCenter XXL is pretty large and is designed to set on a surface. If you want a "with the TV" installation, a shelf on top of the TV is more typical and is easily accomplished using something like the Center Stage Brackets products.
