Thanks for that sound advice. I totally agree that those crazy expensive cables are nuts ;)

My fronts are all only 4-6 feet max and the rears are probably 15-20 feet. I would venture that my 14 gauge is sufficient.

So....

My GET dealer has 2 open box SS3's for 50% off. I think I'll go pick up those bad boys for my surrounds. :lol: :woohoo: :laugh:

Sounds like a good plan! GEt speakers work so well and so seamlessly together. I have never regretted my earlier decision to go 100% GEt.

Hi Ari, as T Cobe stated gauge is important on distance. I had a descent set of Monster THX cable. Its was 12 gauge I think. When I replaced just that cable with Audio Quest GO4 the room changed and I almost did not go buy GE gear!! I had a pair of Yamaha NS-1000m which I still think are really good (by 1985 standards). the difference was clear. So I will stand by my statement analog cables make a difference. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars but a few hundred to feed the quality of the T1's through the system is audibly discernible and worth the investment IMHO.

Don't waste any money on digital cables. Os and 1s don't get any larger or smaller going down the cable!!! I can get on a soap box about that, I often have sales people (retail store clerks with 1 week of training)try to tell me high dollar HDMI CABLEs SOUND BETTTER. Once I mention CRC check on the packets they give me that deer in the head lights look :laugh:

Hi All!
Stupid question but I have never used these plugs. How do I connect these to the speakers? I am trying to connect them to one of my ss3s but it won't go in. Lol is there something I have to remove?
