Hi,

Is it possible to replace the front grills on the Triton One. Just found out that the front grill on one speaker has around 3 dents. I received the speakers 2 weeks back. Although not visible to the naked eye, it can be clearly felt when you move your hands on the speaker grill in front. I have managed to capture one dent on photo and have marked it with an arrow. Need a close observation to see this one.

Please let me know what can be done to get this fixed.

Hi Gopinathan. Sorry to read of the problem. I had an issue with a passive radiator that I felt needed replacement, and am happy to report that the support channel email of Golden Ear was very helpful. I'm sure they can send you a new front grill and return postage for the defective one. Granted, it could be somewhat problematic to completely remove and reinstall so you may want to alert your dealer and see what they have to say.

Looks like transport or handling damage. Your dealer can replace the metal grille frame assembly and the grille sock. Not a do it yourself thing.

Girish,

I would just pop the top, drop the sock, and push that thing out. It looks pretty minor and the grill seems fairly malleable. If that doesn't work, I completely agree with GDHAL, GET customer service is tip top!

Hi,

Thanks all. I intimated my dealer yesterday and he would be coming home to take a look and take further action on whatever is required. Will see how this goes before writing to GE support

As an old hands-on, hobbyist kind of guy, I'm with you, but I like fixing stuff. The metal grille would have to be removed and the dent(s) knocked out from the inside, then re-installed, probably with a new sock assuming the grille cloth is roughed up in that spot too. Not quite so simple as to suggest a user-remedy....
