WayneWilmeth wrote: Rick that is absolutely a beautiful home and great looking setup!!!!!
Glad it is sounding as good as it looks!!!!
Thanks a lot to share that with us.
There are nit-picking small things that you might do to make things sound better, always room for improvement. But many a man would kill for a lovely home as yours, and for such a great system.
Well done, happy listening.
God Bless,
Wayne

Thanks, Wayne. Any/all suggestions for ways to improve sound quality always welcome. It is a journey, not a final stop, after all.

T Cobe, you are right about the hard surfaces. With the fabric vertical blinds, which cover a lot of otherwise reflecting glass area, I have found that by closing them I can dampen sound brightness when I think the sound is a tad bright (usually I like it just the way it is), and I never thought about it, but maybe the open space leading to the kitchen/kitchenette on the other side prevents much reflection on that side?. All thoughts welcome.

Thanks to all.

Rick

Rick, with a house that beautiful (and I can see some great decorating went into it, love the colors!) I hate to suggest anything. But carpet or rugs and drapes are always a good idea to help absorb excess sound reflections. To me that looks much better than most sound treatment in a room, room correction in a processor can be very helpful too.
But I would enjoy it exactly as is right now, and only do something else when or IF you hear any thing that you think needs to be fixed.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Yeah, Rick, you have a beautiful home, a great set up, and some fantastic electronics! I only made the comment about the hard surfaces and sound as a query. I'm trying to learn more about room acoustics from any source I can. I am a complete noob.

From what I've read so far, your window covering and layout are in your favor. You may potentially be getting some added brightness with the wood floors and the back wall seems pretty open. You already have a nice area rug, so that should be helping tame any issues up front. The only other thing that I can see is speaker placement but with your layout and being in a common living space, the WAF may prohibit moving the speakers out of the corners a bit.

This is, of course, only slight nit-picking. I'm sure it sounds great as is! As with all things, it's all about compromise. Thank you very much for sharing your pics with us! You really have a beautiful name and set up! If you have any set up tips or tweak anything that works, please let me know. I'll be setting up my T1s today!

Cheers,

T Cobe

Sorry, Rick, one more thought. The tables in front of and directly behind your listening position may be reflecting additional high frequency energy right at you. If you are not having any issues, completely ignore me and I apologize.

Cheers,

T Cobe
