Hi, T Cobe
I've attached what is supposed to be three pictures.. if they don't come through, I'll try again.
They're all taken from the area of the sectional sofa, which is in the center of the top of the T part of a T shaped great room (the Kitchen/kitchenette is the bottom of the T). The area at the top of the T where most of the the sound system is, is 26 by 15.5'. The ceiling is 9' high. The distance from the top of the T to the far wall in the kitchenette at the bottom of the T is 45', so it's a fairly big space to fill with sound.
The front of the system has the tv, T1 fronts, SCXL, and the stacks. The stack to the right of the tv consists of a NAD T757 7.1 AVR, a NAD 546CEE CD player, a NAD C 275BEE amp to give some help to the AVR for the front speakers, and a SONOS bridge, to stream music from multiple sources. The stack on the left consists of a cable box/DVR, and a Panasonic Blu-Ray DVD player.
The T2's are at the back of the room. The sofa is midway between the fronts and rears.
There are 4 ceiling mounted INVISA 525'S. The two in the ceiling just behind the sectional sofa are currently inactive, replaced by the Triton 2's as surrounds. The other two are in the kitchen area to bring more music to that part of the room (I play all speakers on low when we have guests, or we're just doing chores, etc.) I made the decision to have speakers for music in the kitchen area rather than have both surrounds and rears in the tv area for 7.1 movies. I may in the future revisit how to use the two unused INVISA'a above the sofa, with some version of a ATMOS setup.

Sounds like an amazing set up! You've got some great electronics supporting your towers! I bet that all sounds great. I need to put NAD on my list based on members' results here on the forum.
I usually use my mobile phone to take pics for the forum and email them to my mail account with the small size selected for output format. That seems to work well for me. I look forward to seeing your pics if you're able to get them loaded.
Any set up advice for the T1s and SCXL?
Cheers,
T Cobe

Thanks for the tip on picture size. Maybe the file size was too large? I'll try it using your method.
Re T1, SCXL set up, the T1's are set as LARGE, the SCXL is set as SMALL with a 60 HZ crossover for DVD stuff. LFE is connected to all 4 towers, so there's lots of bass from 5.1 stuff. I even have the sub gain at -2 db.
Thanks for the tip!

Rick, are you soley using the setup for music or for movies too? If so, are you using any center channel speakers, if not do you feel it is needed for movies?
Thanks in advance.
Po
the installer (lots of new wiring up and through the attic), recommended, that since I would now be splitting the LFE feed four ways, that it may be a good idea to do it instead through a distribution amp (pretty inexpensive) to restore the signal to each of the four towers to the original, unsplit level.

Hi Rick,
I took a look at the Cable Electronics Labs AV 400 Prograde, there's video and L/R out puts, would the connection be via the Receivers Subwoofer to Input L-channel only and then all the other L-channel outputs to the Triton LFEs?
Thanks in advance!

Yes, you are correct in how the installer set up the distribution amp.. it's left in from the AVR's "sub out", and then all 4 LFE leads to the towers from the distribution amp are left audio out. (I really don't know why he set up all left vs all right, but the the in and outs have to be the same channel).
Hope that helps.

An alternative cabling approach: Use a "Y" splitter at the AVR's "Sub Out" to provide "L/R" cable connections, then run L/R cables to the distribution amplifier. From the distribution amplifier L/R Outputs, run L/R cables to the Triton LFE Inputs, then use additional "Y" splitters to combine the L/R signals for mono feed into the Triton LFE Inputs. The possible advantage to this approach might be better bass through full use of both channels in the distribution amplifier.
Best,
Art
