Hey Wayne:

I love the "you can't swing a cat in this place...I'm not kidding, bring a cat and try"...PRICELESS

Was wondering which make, model and size TV you have? I'm hearing that a lot of 3D TVs don't do 3D well and of course the bigger the better. Saw a demonstration in Wichita, a 60 inch LCD versus a 120 in. Projector...no comparison. The larger screen literally pulled you into the movie.

I'm gonna check out "World War Z". Thanks.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Hey Bro,
We just have a 64" Samsung Plasma. It is a smart TV, which is good, glad somebody around here is smart.
Seriously, I like Plasma MUCH better than LCD or LED.
The picture quality is awesome.
Yes, you are right, bigger is better. A projector and screen just never worked in my place before, and now that I am building a dedicated home theater room, a screen complicates things a lot and we are happy with what we have. I am much more critical of the sound system than I am of the TV.
Here where I live, the folks that watch a movie with me, 64" is already considered wretched excess. ha ha
I hope this helps,
God Bless, Wayne

Anthem, the above TV runs HOT. It can really warm up a room. So if you need a heater this winter, I highly recommend it.

Tonight was "Oblivion"
Yeah, I don't like Tom Cruise any more either, but this movie is beautifully made and I must admit, really made me think. Try to figure out what the storyline was kind of think.
Looked great, sounded good, and was not really predictable.
IF you watch it, see if you spot the torch of the Statue of Liberty?

Blessings,
Wayne

Ohhhh, Oblivion may well have a wonderful sound.
I just put it on English, and it is DTS HD MA 7.1 and on the extras they show the making of a wonderful score.
Try it, you probably will like it. I just heard the Thai soundtrack.
Sorry
Blessings, Wayne

A few nights ago we watched Monsters Inc. on blu ray. Last night we watched the new release Monster's University.

If you havent heard of them, they are animated Disney/Pixar movies. Both movies are great, pretty funny movies.

During last nights movie, the audio kept cutting out, and when it would come back it would be further out of sync. after cutting out a few times, it would be out of sync by about 3 seconds. Restarting the MRX 510 didnt fix the problem, I had to restart playback of the movie each time. I dont think its my MRX 510 or the PS3 that was playing the movie, I havent had this problem with any show or other movie on this system, has anyone else experienced a blu ray that has faulty audio like this?

You bet, bad discs happen. Usually a re-insert/restart will get it going again but may wipe out in the same spot again if its damaged. I've had it happen a few times. Audio sometimes, video more frequently.
