As per MoBRien's suggestion I've been playing Flim& the BB's / Tricycle. Excellent CD music wise, the one thing that annoys me is how music that is recorded "DDD" crucifies the saxophone... this CD is no exception. That being said, I did enjoy it and will play it again. Thanks MoBRien.

I would have agreed with that sentiment a decade ago, but today's digital recording technology has made huge strides. All digital no longer means all bad, when executed by knowledgeable recording industry professionals.

Moderator: Not that I don't believe you (I'm skeptical), show me a DDD (Digital Master) CD made in the past 10 years that is in the contemporary/ smooth jazz genre with the emphasis on the saxophone, that sounds stellar.

The saxophone appears to be insanely hard to reproduce in recording, especially on a digital master. Case in point, Nelson Rangell / Truest Heart (sax) makes my ears bleed.
