Do love the sax, so what could be better than 4 of them? Well maybe even more :-).
The one I have is "Do you Remember the Time" - Music of Miller, Gershwin, Joplin & Vaudeville. Not sure how available it is...

I made a run for music and movies this morning. First up on CD is Blues and Ballads by The Brad Mehldau Trio on CD. It's a great sounding album that I believe I heard about from Stereophile's as it was picked as one of the best Jazz albums of 2016. It's very laid back but enjoyable. It may be missing the punch of a bit of brass, but I guess that's what makes it laid back to my ear. The piano and drums are very clear and the soundstage is of generous proportions.

Cheers,

T Cobe

I found Steamin' with the Miles Davis Quintet at the record store today. This is the second of four in the series. Davis on trumpet, Coltrane on sax, Red Garland on piano, Paul Chambers on bass, and "Philly" Joe Jones on drums. More great music from a performance stand point. SQ sounds like a 1950s recording. An easy recommendation.

Cheers,

Lovely clarinet jazz, piano, electric guitar - Who's Who in Jazz - Lionel Hampton presents Woody Herman (LP).
Unfortunately the LP is a bit "poppy" being used and old, but the music is sweeeeet. Lionel Hampton on vibes and Woody playing Sax, Clarinet.
I'd be interested in it on CD but doesn't seem to be available. I think there is lots of music like that.. How many times do I buy the same music on different media?

Wayne,

Uh oh! Sounds like someone is enjoying elevator music...

I think the rest of the album is equally good, but consider the source. I can ride in an elevator all day. You should be able to sample more of the album on YouTube or elsewhere online to be sure. SQ is pretty good as well! I think it's worth the price of admission. Let us know if you pull the trigger and if you like what you hear.

Cheers,
