Anthem, that looks like a beautiful tube pre-amp. I had toyed with the idea of buy a prima-luna integrated amp before I bought my Yamaha AS-2000. I am not sure why I did not at least audition it. I suspect it is because I was too lazy to drive one hour to the dealer who sold them! Anyway I am happy with the Yamaha (and it came with in-built phono inputs).

I am currently listening to Miles Davis's collaboration with Gil Evans, recorded in 1959. The music is piercing and haunting, with rich and complex background rhythms. Another recording on 180 gram vinyl...I am spending a fortune on vinyl now!

Thanks for the vote of confidence Moderator Dude!!!!

Bro Anthem, I am happy for you my friend. I reckon all those prayers for you finally paid off, here you got your new baby, Thelma Lou!!!!! Congrats!!!!!!

Seriously, I hope she comes through for you like a Thelma Lou should. I know you need to let her warm up, and break in a little bit anyway, but please write when you can and tell us what you hear. How does music sound through her?
In particular, we want to know if she tames the sometimes harsh sounds from your beloved SAX????

So, looking for a report, you're getting better sax now or not??????

Ohhhhh, heck, we will never get on GE Facebook with this kinda talk. Durnnit.

Have fun listening man, that is what it is all about, enjoy the music!!!!!!
God Bless, Wayne

Thelma Lou is up and running this morning. She wooed me with the Dave Weckl Band. She sounds well mannered (prim and proper), I expect nothing less. Thelma Lou & Anthem....hope my wife isn't jealous.

Dave Weckl Band - Perpetual Motion
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Bro Anthem,
Great news for you and Thelma Lou.
Happy for you.
When she gets used to living at your house, playing with you, see if she smooths out those nasties from the saxes? And she if she sounds grainy at all? Tube noise at all? Or is all liquid golden sound? How is the presence and sound-staging (toobes should excel at that)?
What amp is she playing into before going to the Triton 2s? Are the pre and amp playing nicely together? If an solid state amp, does Thelma warm up the sound any?
Inquiring minds want to know Dude.
Enjoy and send regular reports if you can tear yourself away from TL.
Blessings,
Wayne
