Joe Henderson / Page One (1963) -- Jinrikisha

Absolutely luscious sound this morning.
Today we are using an Adcom GFP-565 Preamp (24 years old - with an attached powercord) with the Decware Torii MKlV & Oppo 105.
What's nice about this preamp is it has a high filter switch that helps to reduce unwanted ultrasonic noise, as well as to correct excessive high-frequency energy in the top octave. It's very subtle and seems to work quite nicely.

T Cobe: I want that Ornette Coleman cd. Let me know what you think.

Kenny Burrell / Midnight Blue (1967) -- Soul Lament

Another new arrival...this one courtesy of T Cobe.
This is a Blue Note (The Rudy Van Gelder Edition)
I must say, this an excellent recording...near Reference.
The music, in and of itself, is mesmerizing.
I really like this cd...Burrell along with Stanley Turpentine hit a Home Run on this one. Thumbs Up!
