T Cobe:

Sunday is gonna be a Very Good Day!
Here is some information that is supplied with the Reference 3 powercord.
Break-in:
As with all other audio equipment, these power cords will sound better with use, due to dielectric conditioning. The good news is, most customers will find these cords out-of-box sounding better than their existing already broken-in stock power cords. A higher enjoyment of music can be achieved immediately. That being said, please allow about 400 hours of break-in use for the sound to open up. The power cords will continue to improve for up to 2000 hours.

My first exposure to the AC Reference 3 powercord was a well seasoned loaner from Dilettante. My love came within 5 minutes. T Cobe, you'll be receiving a Virgin PC. All virgins, at least from what I've heard, will benefit from some Foreplay. Warm her up and get to know her before you attempt a touchdown/home run. Once the prior is done, I believe You Two will live Happily Ever after.

All the Best
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

T Cobe wrote: Anthem and Rick- I received a shipment notification that my Level 3 power cord is on the way. I should be listening to it by Sunday! Is any break in time required, or was the improvement immediately apparent? I'm looking forward to trying it out throughout my system to see where I notice the most significant gains.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Hey, T Cobe

I heard a difference "right out of the box". The SQ just got more "natural". I didn't notice a huge further change as the playing hours added up, but maybe I just got accustomed to the more subtle changes after that with break-in?? Not sure.

Anthem, what was your experience? UPDATE: just saw your post, Anthem (did I push it through with mine??) Good answer!!!

Happy listening!

Thanks!

My pictures are always edited. The camera does not see like the human eye or reflect the human experience. My editing is always with the goal of bringing you to what I experienced when I was there.

Larry Carlton / Sapphire Blue (2003) -- A Pair of Kings

In my opinion...Carlton's finest album.
