We all have our music "niches" that wake something up (or relax) something in our brains. For me, Ray Charles's "Genius Loves Company" relaxes something, anything Eagles wakes something up, classical can do either, same with pop, and most rock and roll works for me. Heavy metal just turns off my "music detectors". Too much harsh sound for me. And, I'm trying to learn more about this style called jazz.
I guess we all have slightly different music vibe sensors. Maybe that's why I like to play a bunch of different styles on playlists, to wake up or relax different portions of my brain.
I do know I like sampling EVERYTHING that's posted on this thread. So, thanks again to all for taking the time to tell us what's being played at your place. I'm all ears, and learning constantly about new artists, new genres. Our GEt speakers never fail to deliver the best a recording has to offer.
Happy listening!
