Another Living Stereo recording. This one is in 3 channel SACD format.



This is the fourth and last movement from Rimsky-Korsakov's "Sherherazade" The SACD has the full piece plus Stravinsky's "song of the Nightingale". SQ is good, with orchestral pieces delicately balanced and nuanced, great dynamic range. Listening on my laptop speakers to the Youtube version doesn't do it complete justice. GEt speakers do, in spades.

Posted a review and A/V of a Living Stereo hybrid SACD here earlier featuring Rimsky-Korsakov's Scherherazade, and Stravinsky's Song of the Nightingale... don't know where it went. Suffice it to say the SQ was first class, and it can be played as a regular stereo CD also on any player.

Hey, Anthem

Sometimes I feel I'm off "the beaten path" with what I listen to. I'm on a classical SACD "kick" at the moment (between sampling all the great stuff posted here), and just loving what GEt speakers can do to bring orchestral pieces to life. There is SUCH a difference between well and poorly presented classical pieces. It's as if I'm re discovering, via GEt, what this music is SUPPOSED to sound like.
Oboes, harps, double bass, drums, violins, brass... all playing together and yet so distinctive...

Yes, I'll post more. I know I owe it to the forum. Some of it will be more (boring??) classical stuff. Until I heard some of this on my GEt system, I really wondered what all the fuss was about. I think I get it now!

Enjoy the background music. Mindless enough to create that zen spot, atmospheric enough to still be amazed by how my Aon 2s sound....and the huge sound field. (and you think YOUR off the beaten path. I am so far in the woods the sun doesn't rise till 1:00 PM)
