Alas, I brewed the last of my Ethiopian Hambela Natural yesterday. I was running low and tried to stop in to JBC on Thursday but they were on their way to San Francisco to a coffee competition. They won't be back until next week...
My bad for delaying. I guess I'll be roasting my own this weekend and drinking it a bit early.
Spinning Jack Johnson again this morning. On and On is a great album. the sound is pretty sweet across the entire frequency range. I'm getting a lot more bass than I had expected. The bass grooves serve as a solid foundation for most of the album. The mids are a touch on the warm side versus completely neutral from my CD player. Jack's vocals are very soothing. The highs are stupendous. The HVFR is really getting to strut its stuff with my analog setup. This is probably the biggest difference between digital and analog in my setup, YMMV.
Cheers,
