Wayne,

Definitely a lot of stress. I'm finding the deliberate process of playing records relaxing. It requires more focus and helps block out the background noise of everything else going on. I also like the reverence that must be provided to the music and the process. It's not as simple or random as just throwing on a playlist as background music for other activities.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Bro T. Cobe,
I am sorry to hear of so much stress in your life. That is rough my friend!
Sounds like your record playing experience is your version of rolling a ball and packing the ball of
opium into the pipe and smoking it to relax. Times past in Asia.
Course I have only read about all that.
Enjoy your version. Relax.
God Bless, Wayne
God bless the child that's got his own.

Yikes, Opium!? I'll stick to music. Not that this habit is any cheaper.

Thanks, Bro Wayne. There's always an ebb and flow in life. I'm looking forward to calmer times.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Wel, hit the music store today. Slim pickings! I looked for a while and came away with Alabama Shakes, Sound & Color, and Jack Johnson, On and On. Sorry, Anthem, no Twisted Sister.

I like the sound of Alabama Shakes. This is my first album of theirs. This record was pressed into a clear vinyl and I'm not sure how good the quality of the materials is. There was a bit of snap, crackle, and pop on the first record so I cleaned the second one a little better. It's cleaner but not nearly as clean as the 180 g vinyl pressings I have. I've got to get a better brush... Sound wise, it's very good. Your perception of the performance will vary. Happy listening.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Now this sounds nice! :cheer: Jack Johnson's albums aren't always the cleanest recordings. I think some of his jackets have stated that he used solar power to record that particular album. This one is sounding darn near perfect. Even off center, the vocals are locked right in between my T1s. I think this has improved with my make shift acoustic treatments for my side wall first reflections.

There's no Ben Stiller on the record... Sorry, there weren't many options for Taylor on YouTube. Happy listening!

Cheers,

T Cobe

P.S. The HVFR tweeter is really showing off on this whole album!

Alabama Shakes -- Great Album! I'm partial to "This Feeling". In regards to "Twisted Sister"...you can leave it at the store.

A most beautiful day, been listening to Russ Freeman & The Rippingtons / Brave New world (1996) -- Urban Wanderer.

Listening to this through the Primaluna Premium Preamp, Torri, and Oppo 105...18 tubes total...makes for some seriously delightful sound.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!
