The old Farts are at it again. The Cookers / Time and Time Again (2014) -- Double or Nothing.

This morning I was gonna box up Dilettante's loaner Anti-Cable Reference 3 powercord so that I could get it back to him, but I hadn't heard it on the Primaluna Preamp. With one on the Torii, one on the Oppo, and one on the Primaluna, my sonic ears were turned upside-down. I ran the Torii close to clipping, but even then the sound was so absolutely clear and harshness free that i almost couldn't believe what I was hearing. I told the wife that had never heard "The Cookers" cd sound this good before. It grabbed my attention so completely that now I'll be ordering a Third Anti-Cable. This is becoming addictive...
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Thanks for the update, Anthem. Did you decide the Venoms sounded best on your Tritons? I'm glad you enjoying you library now more than ever!

The Venom 3's sound great on my T2's, but if I had my way, every component I own would be out fitted with an Anti-Cable Reference 3 powercord. If I could, I'd put one on my refrigerator, washer, and a 220 version on the dryer. I'd really like to try a couple on my Emotiva xpa -1's and the rest of my HT gear. I'll bet Wayne would enjoy one on his Bose Table top Radio...just kidding.

I don't listen to a whole lot of classical music (more of late, in surround), but I've had a fascination for the range of sounds in the 1812 Overture. Funny, it was one of Tchaikovsky's least favorite pieces that he ever wrote.

Well,I wanted to see what a GEt surround system could do with a GOOD HD surround recording of the piece, so I ordered a TELARC DSD multi channel hybrid SACD, that included that piece (SACD-60541). I just listened to it, played on the OPPO, fed as 5.1 analog surround through the Marantz.

Wow. The GEt speakers are just loving it. SQ is 5 of 5.
