It's new cd Saturday. Today it's the sophomore release from Blazing Redheads /Crazed women (1991) -- Crazed Women.

This is from Reference Recordings as was their first cd. Recorded with KOJ/Sony PCM-701 ES Digital Encoder, the sound is quite good and very dynamic when called for. Great set of tunes that shows both their wild side and their mellow side. So without further ado...pop this one in your cd player and crank er up.
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Cool but lovely Sunday afternoon. Listening to Miles Davis / Kind of Blue -- Flamenco Sketches.

With the Anti-Cable's, this cd is not without it's problems. What I really noticed was distortion, here and there, in every song. Couple that with low level background garbage most prevalent in the right channel, and it can make for a less than stellar listening experience. The wife actually thought there was an waterfall coming from the right speaker.

To me the Stars of the show are Cannonball Adderley and John Coltrane with their great sax. This is Great music, I just wish the recording was better. Maybe next year I'll splurge and buy a top notch transfer.

Kickin Butt with Peter White /Here We Go (2012) -- My Lucky Day..

I'm consistently amazed at what the Anti-Cable's bring to the table. After hearing this song, I told the wife I had never heard such clarity and separation of individual instruments. With other powercords, instruments can become lost in the translation, so to speak. As each day goes by, I'm feeling as if the Anti-Cable's can do NO wrong.

Great song, Anthem!

I'm going to try some of that... Deezer has the album on 16 bit streaming...

Thanks!

Listening to more of Peter White's "Here We Go" album. I love acoustic guitar, and the detail and nuance is fantastic!

Windham Hill holiday guitar collection.

Mostly solo acoustic, its as if they are playing right in front of me. Great holiday recording to launch the season.

I've settled on using the XMC-1 in Direct mode for everything. I initially noticed how nuanced and deep my T2s with just a DAC straight to my Emo amps sound in my office. So I started experimenting with Direct mode in my living room. After several months with Dirac Live and various processing modes vs. Direct, the fact is the Triton 1 is best left to its own remarkable capabilitIes. It's like the difference between humming and singing. Left alone, the T1s with XMC-1 in Direct is truly magnificent. The XMC-1 is wonderfully silent and transparent. Any processing just muddies it up. Even watching cable, all my GE speakers are more alive without Dirac. Watching blurays is fantastic too. Without Dirac, the T1s go so deep that I was able move my Paradigm sub to another room. Very sweet.

I think Dirac is better than Audysee and on a par with ARC. They definitely improve lesser speakers, but not so for GE. Ok fan boy rave over.
Living Room:
Triton 1 - R,L
SuperCenter XL - Center
Triton 2 - Surrounds
SuperSat 50 - Rear surrounds
Emotiva XMC-1 pre/pro
Emotiva XPA-1 G2 monoblocks, R/L/C,
Emotiva XPA-1L monoblocks: surrounds, rears

Home Office Office:
Triton 7 - R,L
Emotiva XPA1-L, Stealth DC-1 DAC
