Hi Wayne,

You might be right about not believing about my "last arrangement" possibility. I do seem to never tire of tinkering. In all of my previous arrangements, I have never tried this particular combination. We'll see.

We are visiting our daughter and her family this weekend. If I can find the time, I am going to a nearby audio emporium in Raleigh to listen to the Triton References. If I go, I hope to compare them directly to the Ones.

I suppose a decision to acquire a pair of Triton References would initiate a new round of speaker arrangement activity.

Oh, well.....

Happy New Year.

Hey Art:
While you're auditioning the T Refs this weekend, take a cargo van and plenty of cash. If the Oppo UDP-205 is on display, Don't Hesitate, give it a listen.

Wishing You & Your Bride of 50+ years All the Best
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Hi Anthem,

I do have my Toyota Van in Raleigh, but not my pickup, so I doubt that I could haul off a pair of Refs. Probably just as well = avoids the risk of a large impulse buy.

I will report back if I actually get the chance to listen to them while we are here.

Thanks for the New Year's Wishes.

Best,

Art

Best to report upon my latest (and probably last "pre-Refs" configuration):

Triton Ones: Fronts, connected to Cambridge 851A Stereo Amp "A" Speaker terminals.
Triton Ones LFE terminals connected to Cambridge 851A Amp Preamp Out Line Out terminals.
Triton Sevens: "Rear Fronts". connected to Onkyo NR 3009 Front "A" Speaker terminals.
SuperSat 3C: Front Heights, connected to Onkyo NR 3009 Front Height speaker terminals.
KLH Floor Speakers: Surrounds, connected to Onkyo NR 3009 Surround speaker terminals.
Paradigm DSP 3400 15" Sub, connected to Cambridge Record Out Line Out terminals.

Cambridge 851A balance speaker inputs connected to Cambridge DAC Magic Plus Balanced outputs.
Onkyo NR 3009 BD/DVD Digital Coaxial Input connected to Cambridge DAC Magic Plus Coaxial Digital output.

If I purchase the Triton Refs, the Ones will move to the "Rear Fronts" position, the Sevens will replace the KLH Floor Speakers, and the SuperSat 3Cs will stay as they are. The Paradigm Sub will probably be switched to my separate AV Movie System

The Refs are really tugging at me these days.

Happy listening,

Art

HMMMM!!! ...."probably last"Pre Ref's" configuration".... :) I'm familiar with Ref's tugging at one.

Good luck whatever you decide!

Happy listening!!!
