I agree, what matters is how it sounds... I'm going back to demo the T1s this afternoon if things work out.

RE T1 bass,it's GOOD all by itself. It's hard to imagine needing any more for music.

I am another self professed bass head. With T1's in front and T2's as surrounds, all LFE connected, I have fantastic bass for movies, or surround music. I don't foresee ever wanting or getting a separate sub... there's aleady four at play in the towers, with well distributed bass. But also, for movies, the T1's, with LFE attached are pretty awesome all by themselves.

I can't compare T1's alone to Muphyslaw's suggestion to also consider T5's plus a FF5. The T1's, per the Moderator Dude, can play some louder than a FF5. You wouldn't go wrong with either choice, I would guess. For music, it's hard to picture anything working better for integrated bass than the T1's

Hopefully they have the T1s set up in a theater room and not just a 2-channel set up. If they are using the LFE inputs, I believe you will be shocked by the bass they put out. The difference between the speaker level inputs and the LFE input is dramatic!

To build on what Moderator Dude has said, in my theater, the T1s go below 20Hz with authority during a few of my favorite scenes. I can't tell where the -3 dB point is, but the output is significant. Throw in Godzilla or Mad Max Fury Road and you will be impressed.
