Looks real good Mike! I can see why the T1 would produce so much bass, especially being located so close to the walls there for room gain. No sub needed :)
7.1 today, moving to 7.1.4 tomorrow
(2) Triton Two - front mains
(1) Sat 60C - center
(2) Sat 50s - sides
(2) Sat 50s - rear
(2) DIY 18" Stereo Integrity subs, 1100w each

Hey Mike,
I think it is remarkable what a great home theater you have put together there!!!!
Well Done man!!!!
Would love to see more pics and hear more about how it is working out for you?
The stepstool, is that for the person who runs things, holds the remote controls???? Just joking.
Your A/C unit looks the same as we use over in this far flung part of the world, made me wonder where you are.
My A/C even running on low still does raise the noise floor in the theater, and my ceiling fan (a lovely DC motor, low noise baby) raises the ambient sound even more. BUT with tube hybrid amps, and a plasma TV, believe me, fan and air is a must this time of year.
Happy listening, enjoy the fruit of all your labor,
God Bless,
Wayne

Mike,

Definitely a nice set-up! You've also got a list of some great equipment. I'd be interested in seeing more pictures of the projector mounting and bass traps/acoustic panels. Any info on the room correction would be great too. Vendor, model numbers, etc. Thank you for sharing your set-up with us. Happy listening (and watching)!

Cheers,

T Cobe

If I ever were lucky enough to have a dedicated theater I would want something with a similar footprint. The sound must be awesome.
Play it loud.

Parasound A23
Triton 5 L/R
SuperCenter XXL

Thanks Wayne,
I live in the Southwest US. HOT HOT HOT. The theater room is an enclosed patio. 3 walls are 6" block with 2" furring to the drywall. The 4th wall is 8" stud. Keeps most of the heat out but the temp still creeps up. I went the mini split route with the AC instead of tying into the central air for 2 reasons. Less sound transmission to the rest of the house and the mini split is actually quieter than the ducted central air. You are correct about raising the sound floor! I try to get the room pretty cool before watching a movie so I can set the fan to low or turn the unit off.

Thanks Mike, I got you!
The mini split that you mention is exactly what we all use here, no central air at all. We only cool the room we are in.
And yes, they are quieter than central air usually.
I think you have done very well, and we can both agree on HOT HOT HOT. Thailand is very hot this time of year, even though I live close to the mountains.
Enjoy your great home theater, lots of work, I hope you will have lots of rewards too!!!!
God Bless,
Wayne
