T Cobe,

This weekend I set up the Triton ones with Primaluna Dialogue Tube preamp and played through XPA 2-GEN2.
sounded great, but the preamp alone cost $3200. The highs cleaned up big time and the mids warmed up and sounded Tube like.
I would hope so at that price for the pre-amp !!

If looking for that "sound", better off with the Rogue or Peachtree and save thousands. Sounded real close to Prima / Emo combo.
I think it would be impossible to tell the difference.
My two cents-

They are my "go to" integrated amps, and I do not even sell Peachtree.

TJ,

Thanks for the follow up and humoring me with the test. I suspected those findings but better to verify. if you like the "tube" sound, having them in the signal path certainly makes a significant difference. I think the Emotiva amps are fairly neutral and sound like what you feed them.

The T1s will only compound any flaws with the input as they are very detailed. I'm hearing sounds in music I own that I have never heard. I know, this sounds like hyperbole but it's true. It certainly has made me start seeking out great source material. It really is euphoric to listen to a reference quality recording. Anyways, thanks again TJ! Happy listening. I look forward to further updates as you try new equipment and combinations.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Thanks, Wayne. I caught this on the day I was flying to Italy. Internet here has been sketchy or I would have thanked you sooner. Regarding being posted, the T1s are easy to say great things about. I'm looking forward to the Stereophile Speaker of the year award write up. I can't find it on-line yet.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Have to agree. Very very happy Peachtree 220SE owner here :-)

If I had the money I would have got the Naim Supernait. Amazing combination with the Triton One's but beyond my budget at the time.
