Po,

I think the T3 would be a great surround speaker! Wasn't trying to disparage it. As Wayne said, it's the laid back sound of the midrange that would steer me away from using it as a main. Wayne is also correct in that GET offers far more value than B&W. I prefer a neutral or forward sound and have never been a fan of B&W, even the high end offerings.

As we've said before, it would be impossible to find a bad combination of GET. For me, it's a matter of finding the best combination for my application and my listening preferences. Matching the T1s would be a benefit but that is a tall order. The SCXXL will likely be the next speaker purchase for me.

Cheers,

T Cobe

T Cobe, I always imagined you would go with the T2s with the real estate you need to fill!
Or T5s because they are newer, and you can always go with more Subs.

Thanks
Po

PS. Anyone want to share how they are uploading photos to these forums, I'm having no luck, so I guess a step by step would help!
Thanks!

Wayne and Po,

Sorry for my short responses above and not explaining in better detail. GET is definitely a better value than B&W. It is the recessed mids and laid back sound of B&W I don't care for but that is my sound preference. The T3 is reminiscent of that for me but I think it would still make a great surround speaker! Plus, it matches the look of my T1s and I hate to admit it, but that matters to me; otherwise, I'd consider the T5.

I'm still considering Aon 3s all around for surrounds since I plan to use HTR-7000s in the ceiling. Since both speakers use the same drivers, they should create a pretty cohesive sound field. If I go that route, I'll probably put a sub behind my theater seating for a littl better dispersion. So many options... I guess that's a good thing. :)

Cheers,

T Cobe

Hey Po,
That is an awesome looking setup!!!!!
Lots of GEt and Emo beauty there!!!!!
I bet it sounds wonderful!!!!!
I got your pic fine, just had to cut and paste it, and it loaded great.
T Cobe, got you on the B&Ws. I never liked any but their big monsters.
I think the Aons would be really fantastic surround speakers, I have a soft spot for those speakers, I have heard them sound glorious.
You guys are well on the right track, go for it and have fun!!!!!
Enjoy, God Bless, Wayne

Unfortunately, it's only a link, I'd rather post pictures to click on here, any pointers would be great!

Thanks

To post a picture, when you Reply (not Quick Reply) there is a box below the message box called "Attachments". Click on "Choose File" and a dialog box will open up for you to pick the file (presumably an image on your computer) and click "INSERT". If you want more than one, click "ADD FILE" and you'll get a second "Choose File" box. When done, click "SUBMIT" as usual.

Hope this helps.
