The HVFR is highly detailed yet buttery smooth. The mid drivers are dynamic and tonally accurate. The bass is tight and musical. Review after review, song after song: it all reads the same. The Triton One is magnificent!
One thing I haven't seen in all the elaborate reviews and flowery language is poetry. So, in an effort to be original, here is the first haiku inspired by the Triton One (unsubstantiated and unverified):
Onyx tower planted
With joyful sounds erupting:
The spirit blossoms
Okay, maybe not what you were looking for but I had to include something you hadn't heard elsewhere. Quite by accident, I discovered another attribute of the Triton One this morning that I have not heard articulated elsewhere. I have been struggling for months to find the right bass settings for both music and movies and have had no success. The Triton Ones have solved my bass woes!
I enjoy more bass in movies and less in music. It sounds like this preference and challenge is not uncommon. By using the speaker level and LFE inputs and following the recommended settings, I can now listen to music and watch movies with my preferred level of bass. By using just the speaker level inputs for stereo (2.0) music, the bass is perfectly balanced with the gain dial at the 12:00 position. Switching over to movies with the gain at the same setting results in powerful LFE! Perfect for both music and movies with no change in settings.
That's all for now. I'll be back with more thoughts on the Triton One when I have something new to contribute that hasn't already been said better by someone else. I promise not to include any more poetry!
Cheers,
T Cobe

That poem was not in any of the reviews I read.
ha ha, you are a HOOT man, good one!!!!
Interesting that you have just the bass you want for both music and movies. Good for you!!!!!
I will explore that more when I get my XMC-1 set up with the T2s, T3s and FF5 all hooked up like you are with LFE inputs.
I am amazed that you can run the Triton One bass at 12:00 o'clock. Not sure, but I think a couple others may be doing the same. IF I get past 10:00 o'clock on my T2s it seems to be too much. But that may be a function of my room and the fact that I cannot get the T2s out further into the room or further away from the side walls. I will try again though to check it out better.
I am really glad you wrote this report and look forward to more to come!
Enjoy your new babies, have fun listening.

Wayne

Hi, T Cobe and Wayne
I'm sure room dynamics plays a big role, but I broke my T1's in at the 12:00 o'clock position also, for both music and movies. I've since kept them in the 11-12:00 o'clock range, usually closer to 11. The bass is just rich, never muddy or boomy or over dominating. With the Triton 2's, I keep them at around 10:00 or 10:30. The T2's seem to sound best in that range in my listening area. The T1's just seem to "champ at the bit" to let a little more of that beautiful bass out. Yes, I admit I'm a "basshead"!
Thanks for the great review, T Cobe!
Happy listening!

I'm glad you have your Triton Ones and that you, like the rest of us, are finding new things in your music. You mentioned having a balanced bass between movies and music with the Triton Ones LF control set to the "Noon" position. I'll bet you are playing your CDs through a DVD/CD player of some sort (perhaps even a Blue Ray player which also plays CDs). I'll also bet that your connection between your DVD/CD/Blue-Ray player to your Receiver is via either HDMI or an Optical or Digital cable.
Specifically, I'll bet you do not have an analog L/R connection between your DVD/CD/Blue-Ray player and your Receiver.
Without an analog connection between your DVD/CD/Blue-Ray player and your Receiver, in all probability you are not utilizing the LFE connections to your Triton Ones when you listen to CDs. Try this experiment: Disconnect your LFE cables from your Tritons and listen to a CD with regular bass. See if there is any change to your bass sound with the LE cables disconnected.
If you find that the CD bass sounds the same with or without the LFE cables connected, then try this experiment: Re-connect the LFE cables and connect a L/R pair of RCA type cables between your DVD/CD/Blue-Ray player and your Receiver. It doesn't matter which analog audio input pair you use on your Receiver, but you must choose the input you use when you are ready to listen via the analog connection.
I'll bet your bass sound level increases dramatically when you provide the analog path. If it does, it's because you are sending analog bass signals into your Triton LFE inputs. If the bass increases, you can decide which connection mode you want to use for listening to music. Regardless of whether or not you connect analog cables between your player and your Receiver, you will still get "digital LFE" when you watch movies, so your movie setup will not be affected by the analog connection.
If you choose to try my suggested experiments, I'll look forward to what you discover.
Happy listening,
Art

Thanks and Congratulations on your T1s. I bet Interstellar will be amazing on it.
While we await further updates on your T1, please don't forget how to include a small section on how you think the Aons compliment the T1 on the surround rears, I know I'd be interested to know more!
Thanks
Po

Good luck getting everything hooked up and dialed in! I hope you are able to get your bass in proper order.
Cheers,
