Thanks MOBrien,
I went to the link you gave for the Emotiva Lounge, and read the posts of their self proclaimed Technical Guru and I was SHOCKED!!!!
Emotiva (Jade) bought Bob Carver products and are going to market tube amps with some one pontificating and going off on tubes like that????? He is going all Julian Hirsch on that forum!!!! He clearly has no respect for tube equipment at all.
Bob Carver must be turning over in his, er, ah, penthouse.
Well, nuff said,
Blessings,
Wayne

Just a quick thanks to Wayne, Anthem and MOBrien for all the helpful info. Have been super busy with work and family so off the boards for a bit.

Curious to learn more about tubes, but would be better to hear and decide how I feel about the sound. But again, maybe ignorance is bliss (and cheaper) :)

Hi Shaker,
A quick note here. I think you are well on the right track getting the Triton 1s.
I like music through tubes, BUT BY FAR (in my opinion) the biggest game changer in a music system is getting great speakers. There is much more difference between speakers than there is between good amps, whether they are tube, solid state or hybrid amps.
Good amps all sound similar, they sound like music, IF the rest of the system is up to playing it. You need a good source, that is really important. But great speakers are few and far between and usually extremely expensive. That is why we love the GoldenEars here.
I have not heard the T1s, but I would bet a paycheck they will sound awesome.
You are gonna have a killer good sound!!!!!
Enjoy the pursuit of great sound,
Enjoy music,
God Bless,
Wayne

Wayne just scrolling some of the Triton Ones posts & saw yours regarding Emotiva XPA-1's to drive your T1's. Just wondering if you infact acquired the XPA 1's & if so you thoughts on performance. The reason I ask I also have the T1's & looking for amp pairing. Emotiva does look tempting. Appreciate your thoughts
