Well said Moderator Dude,
Do you think you can get that Rep to perform this service worldwide????
Ohhhh, never mind, I am sure I am one of the ones you mentioned; I left sanity behind sometime around the time Chuck Berry was playing Johnny B. Goode.
God Bless,
Wayne

So, I updated my receiver to the X4000. It now sounds great. I really believe the X3000 had a bad DAC, it is a night and day difference. Now my next dilema, I have the opportunity to upgrade my Three's to the Two's.

Question #1 have heard them both. The problem is they were connected, disconnected and moved during the audition so side by side is tough. I think the Two's are the way to go, What is the forum's opinion?

Question #2 If I replace them do you think my wife will notice the larger speakers? If so, how should I explain them.

Question #3 do you think she should be aware that the speakers are being changed in advance? If so are there any volunteers to tell her?

Hi DisplacedHusker,
Thanks for the good follow up. I am really happy to hear that you sorted out the problem, that it was with the Denon, not the speakers. I reckon if you can upgrade the speakers too, go for it.
But about the hilarious points you raised about your wife:
I have just one question, is she a Husker too????
IF SO, be CARFEFUL, she could kick your ass!!!!!!

Ha ha, Enjoy guy, sounds like you are well on your way to great tunes.
God Bless, Wayne

No she is not a Husker, it's worse, she's a Hawkeye.

Whoa, I thought for a bit that you might tell her you watered them and they grew. BUT, then you said she is a Hawkeye, she might "water" the new T2s for you!!!!!
Best be careful Dude!!!!
I am not volunteering to tell her a thing!!!!!
Did you see Anthem's funny one in the "Today's Humor" section? It is priceless.
Seriously, I think you will enjoy the T3s and perhaps, even enjoy the T2s more. Up to you, or her, or both of you. (Ya pays yer money and takes yer chances!)
Blessings,
Wayne

If you like to listen loud and/or have a large room, the Two is the better choice. Beyond that, they are pretty much the same.

Question #2 If I replace them do you think my wife will notice the larger speakers? If so, how should I explain them.

Maybe, if so, tell her you saved money by upgrading. I'm sure she'll understand that.

Question #3 do you think she should be aware that the speakers are being changed in advance? If so are there any volunteers to tell her?

Apparently there are others on this forum better equipped (or so they think) to answer this than I... and if my wife is lurking than the answer is absolutely YES.
