I'm not into old cars/tractors but I am into cake..I want my cake and i want to eat it too.

Wayne if you're listening to "Roadhouses & Automobiles" in the winter, crickets are hibernating. It's a summer CD.ha-ha

Just finished a beautiful session with John Scofield/ Groove Elation (1995 Capitol) I used my Anthem Statement P2 amp, Anthem Statement D2V, Oppo 105 and fed it through my Aon 3's with the Def Tech subs picking up low bass (wasn't much). This is the first time I've used this setup, it really sounded superb, even the wife said bravo.

I don't know the recording, but I'm going with:

1) No crickets - or
2) Your high-frequency hearing has deteriorated so that you can no longer hear them. Sorry, it happens. :(

I imagine you are right Moderator Dude, on one count or the other.
Years spent working on an offshore drilling rig did not help the hearing any.
Nor being in Kuwait when all them oil well fires were blowing.
BUT
I suspect NO crickets, or crickets recorded so low that you can't hear them.
I hope somebody will tell me the truth and nothing but the truth, the facts and only the facts Mam!!!!

It is all fun, God Bless, Wayne

Started listening to Bobby Lyle/Rhythm Stories (1994) last night, then a couple songs this morning and finished up this evening. I've had the cd for many years but never sounded good on my other speakers. Listened using Anthem, Oppo, Aon 3 setup...I'm impressed. Bobby plays great keyboards...numerous well known guests on this recording.

Wayne or should I say Cricket Man : have you listened to the cricket CD on headphones? Ask your wife to listen, see if she can hear them. If she can, you're going deaf buddy...time for a hearing aid.
