Dave Douglas / Soul on Soul (2000) -- Waltz Boogie

Soul on Soul pays homage to Mary Lou Williams (1910 - 1981) an African - American jazz pianist, composer and vocalist. She wrote hundreds of compositions and arrangements, and recorded more than 100 records.

Soul on Soul has many interesting songs on it, many are influenced by Mary Lou Williams. As you know, I'm becoming a hugh Dave Douglas fan, and this cd is a very Welcome addition to the library.

HA! That's a funny clip! I've got my "DANCING HONEY'S" whiskey barrel planters all prepped for her to pick out summer annuals for planting, and then it's off to NY to visit our son and family for a bit. (Our granddaughter is in a school play.)

Still breaking in my SONY headphones.. they do get smoother, but I will definitely add an external amp/DAC. SQ not there yet. TBD which one.

Great song...fantastic bass.
First time listening with Anti-Cable Reference 3 powercords on Everything.
Torii MK4 > Oppo 105 > T2's > AC pc's ...Excellent Sound.

Ordered Mullard EL34'S Sunday, they will be arriving later this week. Will be using them in place of the Tung-Sol's EL34'S...change is good.
