Hey, T Cobe

You're playing/choosing music with real dynamics. It fits my definition of "foot tapping, rhythm making" music. and yes, the GEt's know what to do with it!

I'm still playing with my new SONY headphones. I'll start the summer with these as my "go to" option, and decide about making a GEt system there, as you suggested. (Yes, we're both good at spending other people's money!!! I'll keep pushing T1/T2 combinations, in addition to valuing your comments about YOUR favorite combinations). I've said it before, I'll say it again, the best single decision I ever made about speakers (with a LOT of help from Sandy on the phone) was to pair T1 fronts and T2 surrounds...talk about speakers designed to play together!!!

Happy listening!

Kenny Drew / Undercurrent (1960) -- Groovin the Blues

Love this cd. Freddie Hubbard on trumpet and Hank Mobley on sax, are the stars here.

T Cobe: glad everything arrived on time and sounding oh so good. Keep us posted...

Rick: I'm not bashful...if T Cobe won't take your Anti-Cable Reference 3 powercords for the summer, I WILL...let me know.

Thanks, T Cobe!

Spanish Harlem is an amazing track. All the words I can think of..clear, clean, detailed, pure.. it's all there. I have this demo disc also. I also play this particular song just to hear the delicate nuances...talk about what great speakers can do to present music..

As for headphones....give HifiMan headphones a try....they (for me) are the GET of headphones....absolutely amazing.

Be warned their upper end phones need a really well chosen headphone amp.

Hey, guys

I mean it. I can't imagine those Anti-Cables having nothing to do all summer. I have tried all sorts of connections and cables and power cords. The Anti-Cables just plain blew me away with what they did to make the music so NATURAL.

I'll be leaving 6/1 and will hold on to them for dear life until then, but can have them shipped right after that (my wife stays until 6/7).

If either of you want to try them, just PM me your mailing address.. I can send one to each of you, or whatever..

I'd love to get some feedback on what they do for amps, including Triton powered towers (I haven't dared to try them on Tritons yet).

Let me know.

Sonny Rollins on the right on tenor sax, Jim Hall on guitar off to the left, Bob Crenshaw front and center on bass, and Ben Riley/Harry Saunders on drums in the back center present a phenomenal soundstage. Combined with great recording quality, you feel like you're front row at a live performance.

Rick, I enjoy sharing information on great music and system tweaks. For me, it's all about the music and bringing out the best in the Tritons. I'm amazed by their seemingly limitless potential. If you have a den or an office at the Summer home, I think a pair of Aons would be fantastic. What do you think, Roman? Headphones or Aons?

Cheers,

T Cobe
