Burrrr! Somebody brought winter back. It is COLD out and everything is covered with ice and a fluffy thin blanket of snow. Thankfully it's warm and comfy inside.
Brewed a pour over of some fresh roasted, recently harvested Panamanian coffee this morning. The smell is unlike anything I have ever experienced. There's a bit of wine, chocolate, and lush fruit. You can certainly taste the fruit and chocolate, but there is a bit of an earthy character as well. It's hard to describe. What goes with an amazing cup of coffee that is hard to find words for? How about Mingus Ah Um. I guess he was at a loss for words as well.
I've got my GIK Acoustics 244 Bass Traps on the front and side walls of each corner where my T1s rest. I'm playing music through my pre-amp with no room correction. I haven't performed any measurements yet, but the bass is significantly better! The results are pretty clear. We'll see what it looks like on the measurements.
Cheers,
T Cobe
