Thanks, Anthem! I really appreciate it and I may take you up on that once my acoustics are squared away. If you want to pack up the Decware at the same time, I'd definitely be sending those insured...

I'm comparing the Mogamis and Monoprice cables again this morning. I think the Mogami Gold cables are presenting better focus, imaging, resolution, and depth while the Monoprice cables are a bit more revealing, forward and dynamic. Put another way, the Mogamis are a Jazz quintet while the Monoprice cables are a rock band.

To perform this comparison, I'm using the old, faithful Ultimate Demonstration Disk by Chesky Records. It offers the detail and variety in music needed to conduct a thorough comparison of components. That's probably enough critical listening this morning. I'll be keeping the Mogamis for a bit longer. Time to brew a cup of joe.

Cheers,

T Cobe

Decware and GEt Tritons... a match made in Heaven.

Sunday afternoon and listening to Jae Sinnett / The Sinnett Hearings (2006) -- Heading South
This is a spectacular cd that can satisfy both the Saxophone, trumpet, and piano lover.
Allen Farnham plays piano on Heading South.

Joshua Redman / Freedom in the Groove (1996) -- When the Sun comes down.

This is true Redman. His sax on "When the Sun comes down" is some of the best in the business.

Sonny Rollins / Sonny Meets Hawk! -- Just Friends (1963)

Sonny Rollins - Saxophone
Coleman Hawkins - Saxophone
Paul Bley - Piano
Bob Crenshaw - Bass
Roy McCurdy - Drums

I picked this up on vacation in October of 2015 and never got around to playing it until today.
Both Rollins and Hawkins are masters of the sax. Distortion here and there, especially in the sax, but still a joy to listen to.

Don Cherry on trumpet.
Thee wife came home and caught me listening to this one. She said she really liked it and gives it 7 thumbs up. ;)
