Early Sunday evening, listening to Joshua Redman / Beyond (2000) -- Twilight...and Beyond.


Torri and the SCXXL = Love
While listening to the SCXXL today, I noticed on the above mentioned track the naturalness and analytical sound the SCXXL conveyed. Piano keys were rendered with such lush transparency. Bass strings were highly detailed with exceptional body. Then there's the sax...the SCXXL can deliver the goods in the high frequency arena...Delicate, open and absolutely musical.

Alright Anthem, your avatar picture keeps changing. Who's the dude holding the saxophone? Playing a lot of Joshua Redman lately. If you had to pick one of his albums for someone that has never listened to his music, which album would you recommend? Thanks for all the great tracks!

Who's the Dude holding the Saxophone? ...Joshua Redman, of course. Which album of his would I recommend for someone that has never listened to his music? Probably Moodswing (1994). Lots of great stuff on that one. Everyone likes his album "Wish"...I borrowed it from a friend, and played it 3 times, I just couldn't get into it. Pat Matheny played guitar, which ruined the whole mood...I don't like Pat Matheny. Elastic and his self entitled Joshua Redman are quite good.
