Steveo, thanks for the link. I'm digging into this, and it will take a while to do the research. Australia is a long ways from the USA, so returns are probably going to be difficult, especially given the customs guys with their hands out along the way. So if I do order, it will probably be for keeps.

Charlie,

I did "upgrade" to 12 gauge stranded cable from my Cambridge 851A to my Triton Ones. I did not notice an improvement, but left them in place. This upgrade was possible because I could string these cables behind things and along two walls. The run to the right speaker is about 9 feet and about 18 feet to the left speaker.

Well, now I understand, Art! That would be a pretty expensive set of premium cables. I've got two 7 foot runs, and that was bad enough.

Steveo, I enjoyed the Curious cable site, the guy is a good salesman.
I have more doubts about digital cables than any other kind, but what do I know?
Makes no odds here, as I don't have any place to plug in either end.
But glad you found something that makes you enjoy your music more.
Happy listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

I was exactly in the same boat as you Wayne. To me digital is 1s and 0s. In fact I bought the cable wanting to be able to return it so I could put that upgrade path out of my mind. Unfortunately they did offer a massive improvement. Put it this way I wish they didn't work as I would have saved a lot of money along the way if I got the same sound out of stock USBs. It was quite surprising actually.

I’ll join the digital transport, moving 1 and 0’s debate also.

I've read so many articles on how you can’t screw up moving digital. Well, I believe it happens.

I played with various coax cables to feed the SONOS digital output to the receiver, vs. over the counter stuff. A Nordost coax just plain made everything cleaner, clearer, better.

So, USB or coax, in my view it DOES matter how the digital content is transported.

I agree with you, Steveo. It makes a difference.
