Hey Art,
I am as plebeian as they come. No problem, not trying to be Hi So here.
I appreciate that coffee tastes as good as your company and circumstances!!!
I enjoy a cuppa with my lovely wife in the morning--that is a special time, and read the
Word of God, I am not as good a guy as I would like to be, so that helps.

Actually I am enjoying my coffee much more by keeping it hot. This Yeti tumbler has kept it hot as while I sip occasionally for 1 1/2 hours now. Before, my coffee was cool and tasting bad after 5-10 mins. Now it is still hot as I watch the news and check the emails/this forum.

As to music, as mentioned elsewhere, I don't listen to background music. I will listen to it soon, when I can REALLY listen. YMMV.
God Bless,
Wayne

Anybody try flavored coffee?
OK, obviously I am not a coffee connoisseur.
I ordered some coffee flavors to add to freshly roasted beans, I love Southern Pecan flavored coffee, but did not find that. The pecan flavor I got is not that great. I also got some French Vanilla, will try that along with some others including a Christmas flavor which is not too bad, smells better than it tastes.
But I also got these already roasted coffee beans that were seasoned in old rum barrels. Called Cask Coffee. It came by way of Amazon just a coupla days ago, the smell is like what I can imagine an old rum barrel might smell like, sorta good, sorta not.
It tasted pretty good, not great.
Anybody else tried any coffee like this? Or flavoring coffee?
Ideas, suggestions, criticisms?????
Happy New Year,
God Bless,
Wayne

Hey, Wayne

Happy New Year also!

I like Cafe Ole Houston Blend, which has coconut strips blended in. The coconut flavor is subtle. Not sure if this is distributed much outside of TX. Also, Hazelnut flavored coffees work for me.

Enjoy your experimenting!

Guys:

I was gonna make coffee yesterday, and the wife says, "excuse me, momma wants her Folgers Hazelnut coffee"...so i made it for her. She loves Hazelnut, I can take it or leave it.

For Christmas she got me some Lavazza (Italy's favorite coffee) some of my favorite.

On a side note has anyone tried the Ninja coffee maker (the one that does it all)?
D-Sonic m3a-600m Mono > McIntosh MC152 > Primaluna ProLogue Premium Preamp > Oppo UDP205 > Decware ZLC > Triton Reference > Isoacoustics Gaia 2 > Canare 4S11 Speaker Cables > Audience Forte 3, Anticable L3 & Shunyata Venom PC's

Every great performance deserves an Audience!

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I have not tried the Ninja Bro Anthem. Have you?
I like hazelnut but prefer pecan, without much luck lately though.
My coffee bean order came in from Amazon and my wife gave me two big packs of local pea-berry beans, so I have almost as many coffee beans now as Bro Anthem has smooth jazz cds!!!
I.e, enough to last me for a VERY LONG time.
Made my last cup of medium roast Ethiopean beans, the acidic ones, will NOT be doing that any more. YUCK.
It may not be the "right" way to go, but I will be roasting darker from now on. And experimenting with Bali, and Sumatran beans as well as flavors.
Have fun with it boys,
God Bless,
Wayne

I have found that spicy, hot food goes great with coffee.
Anybody else find that?
Course REALLY hot coffee along with really spicy gives perhaps too much of a mouth burn.
So, as a safety man, I have to say to be careful!!!!
Last night I started off some some black beans in a crock pot, overnight made a black bean, tortilla soup. It was awesomely delicious. And spicy!!
Had that for brunch (could wait no longer) with crisp tortillas in there getting soggy and a dollop of ancho/chipotle sour cream on top.
Look out!!!!
Lots leftover, come on by and help me finish it.
God Bless,
Wayne
