In regard to LFE level, we have heard this before and does seem to vary greatly by receiver/processor. Your solution for your setup seems like a good one, let us know how it works out and your continued impressions as the speakers break in and get dialed in. Enjoy!

Thanks. The room used to be even bigger. Same width as it is now, but that back wall didn't used to be there. There is another similar size room behind this one that is now a workout room / spare bedroom, so the room is like 19' x 22' but it used to be 19' x 40'.

Any way, point behind that is, I had a lot of movie posters and Iowa Hawkeye memorabilia up on the walls. I took it all down and haven't put it back up yet. I do want to do some room treatments so I was kind of holding off so I don't have to move posters. I'm not going to go nuts though, just some corner traps and first reflection points.

Glad you took the Hawkeye memorabilia down! That would completely wreck the room!!!
