Dan, Sounds good, sounds hopeful.
Sorry it will take that long, but keep us informed if you would.
I would love to see what you decide after listening to both speakers.
God Bless,
Wayne

Yes please let us know what you decide. The T2's are fine speakers and are an excellent choice. The built in subs should be plenty for your space.

Enjoy!!!

Hey again guys,

So the update on my situation is that I ended up buying the 2s. The twist is that I haven’t been able to reorient the room yet. I basically realized it would take a bit more work than I originally thought to do it in a way that would be acceptable to my wife and decided it would have to wait till summer. I didn't want to wait that long to get the speakers, so I went ahead and got them and set them up with the existing layout. They sound pretty damn good, but I expect the sound will improve substantially when I make the changes. One thing I have noticed is that the optimal listening position is pretty narrow right now, and the sound stage is also more compact.

Will be a while, but I will update again once I re-arrange the room.
Dan

Congrats Dan on getting the Triton 2s!!!!!
I am SURE you will love them!!!!
I am very glad to hear that they sound good even in a not that great location, I thought they would.
And you can only look forward to the sound getting better in the future.
Awesome.
Enjoy the music and movies, and listen to music with these babies, they will get a bit better when broken in.
And try to tweak their location now, you just might find a sweet spot for them to sit in and for you to sit in that will make it unnecessary to shift the room around.
Happy Listening,
God Bless,
Wayne

Hi Dan, you have made a good choice. The 2's are very good speakers. I have listened to them at length at my dealer. Wayne is correct after they break in they will sound noticeably better. I was surprised at the difference. One day I turned on my system sat down and started working on some stuff and I noticed how the room seemed bigger and the entire sound stage was better!! Bass seemed to be more defined, mids were more present and highs were really smooth!! Its noticeable and GREAT!! Took about 3 weeks, I ran a signal through them about 6 hours a day. I had them on low volume moat of the time, TV watching Etc.. I did crank them up for some music listening, but mostly average room level volume.

What are you driving them with?

regards,
Danny

My setup is as follows:

Tidal Lossless streaming via SONOS, and TV.

SONOS box and TV both connected via optical cables to Peachtree Grand Integrated

Speaker cables for the Triton 2s are Kimber 8VS

I had been wondering about the break-in period. In the manual it says 40-60 hrs, but I have heard people say it takes twice that to really break in speakers. I've been trying to play them quite a bit, and I'm probably up to 20-30 hrs now. I'm definitely excited to see how the sound improves!

Thanks too for the thoughts on placement Wayne.... I will keep experimenting with it and see what sounds best. I also have been changing the sub level and have them down pretty low. Currently in the 9:00 position.

Thanks again for all the feedback and help!

Dan
