So now that the Triton Fives have been announced I am question my decision about the Triton Seven. My biggest concern is that they are the same price as the Three but with a passive sub.

Is the Five going to require a higher powered amp? It seems like a more expensive setup than the Three or possibly even the Two, so I am anxious to hear everyone's thoughts.

A word from the wise...my wife. If there is something you want, get it now. There will always be a new model coming out. Besides, anything seen at CES will take time to bring to market. Don't cancel your T7 order...enjoy them today.

I am waiting for my condo to sell which may take a few more months. Actually the better question might be: Triton Three or Five?

Yes, that is the right question. The Triton Three is for a modest music/home theater system where an outboard sub is not an option. If you are planning a system to include an outboard sub in a "bigger" system, the Triton Seven (or Five) would be the best choice.

I was really hoping the Triton 4, 5 or 6 would have a powered sub. There is no way I can talk my girlfriend into a separate sub, but I want the newer drivers in the 5 or 7.
