Thanks, Rick.

Your concrete underfloor probably helps a lot. I know my wooden structure resonates, even though I put a thick pad and area rug between the speakers and the LP. I can feel the floor vibrating once in a while with my feet. It's quite possible the sound transmits through the spikes into the floor. (That possiblity was explicitly mentioned in the Stereophile review.)

So I might gain some benefit from an isolator if it could kill that mode of transmission. It would be an interesting experiment.

Hey Charlie

You wouldn't need the Titan Theis model, rated for speakers up to 320 lbs. The ll's are for speakers up to 120 lbs, and "only" $600 for a pair of speakers. :)

About what our Nordost Heimdall 2 power cords cost. Though I still consider the Heimdall one of the most cost effective non speaker upgrades I've made.

Thanks for the pointer. I found my way to their website, and I'm reading their technical discussion. Very interesting. I'm going to give the Gaia IIs a try with my TRefs.

P.S. Charlie
I mentioned moving the speakers with the GAIA's small amounts via tilting onto one pad and rotating. Isoacoustics' recommended procedure for moving any distance is to tilt one side at a time, slide towels under, and then slide to new location.

Hadn't thought of using towels, that's a good idea.

I ordered a set today, and they're on the way.

I just finished a recalibration with my DSPeaker, and it will be interesting to see if there is a change with the isolators. I understand the speaker will be higher, so it may not be directly comparable.

Such is science....:woohoo:

Another install change I made, as the GAIA's are height adjustable, is to have the rear feet slightly higher than the front feet so the tweeters were still aimed directly at my ears seated in the LP. Don't know how any of that would affect your measurements, but worth doing I think.

Re sonic measurements, any data I've seen is that there is no change to the frequency plot. If it was flat before, it's still flat. The changes are to reduce distortions. I'd love to have you share what all your measurements before and after say.
