Hi Moderator
I have a quick question on the DSP or inbuilt DAC function on the upcoming active range. If I had a good DAC I was happy with is there a way to bypass the inbuilt DAC on the speaker while utilising the inbuilt amplification on the active speaker?

Yes, use the analog input.

Is the analogue input digitized to PCM192kHz for DSP?

I believe that is correct but I do not have all product specs/information yet.

Thanks but your answer to the above question which was:

"If I had a good DAC I was happy with is there a way to bypass the inbuilt DAC on the speaker while utilising the inbuilt amplification on the active speaker?"

... was to use the analogue input.

If the analogue input is digitized to PCM192kHz, then there is no way to bypass the inbuilt DAC of the speaker...

You may want to check with Engineering....

Sorry, I misread your first question, I thought you were trying to get around the Chromecast wireless input.

I have not seen a block diagram and do not know the signal path for the analog audio signal. I don't know if we have a digital or analog crossover either, although I believe tha amps are analog (Class AB) so it is likely their is an analog crossover. At this point there is little information available and there will be no more than what we have now forthcoming until the product is closer to release - probably another six months from now. I'm afraid these questions will have to wait until then. If I get an opportunity to dig deeper with our engineering team I will let you know.
