The WISA radio connection between the speakers has proven to be as advertised, no problems and no latency. If you want them both wired, no problem - use the analog input on each speaker instead of the built-in Chromecast. If you like Chromecast, you can do exactly that with a $25 Chromecast Audio puck.

Hi Moderator
Very excited about these as I need some bedroom speakers so I am waiting for this here.

Do you have any news and update on this active tech for the Tritons? Do you think you will start from your lower models (5 or7) or are you more likely to roll it out on the 1s and refs?

No thanks :-)

This is great news. I hadn't seen mention of the WISA connection until now. At least there's no risk of clash with 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi in the home and surrounding networks (for those of us in apartments).

For people wondering about WISA:

"Unlike other wireless systems, WiSA operates in the U-NII (Unlicensed National Information Infrastructure) 5.1 – 5.8 GHz bands to ensure a signal that is robust and dependable with zero loss in fidelity."

I see this unit was still in the design stage as of a week ago. Does that mean that you anticipate slippage in terms of the 4th quarter release?

It is not in the design stage, it is in production engineering. We do not yet have a firm date but yes, it is unlikely we will make our original target of late this year.

Thanks for the quick reply. In my heart, I know there is an emoji to express my desperate disappointment. Something like a lone tanguera dancing with the memory of partners past. I suppose greatness takes time, but what I would do for some goldenear wireless goodness...
