Are the backs of the supersat 50, 50c, 3 slightly curved so that mounting via the keyhole will allow some toe-in, or do you have to use a swivel mount?

Nope. If you want to toe them in you can either use a swivel bracket like our SuperSwivel, or if subtle toe-in is OK, place a couple bumpers along the outer edge of the back panel before wall mounting.

Ron,

I highly recommend the swivel mount, it really allows you to be more specific with the direction of the audio dispersion (up/down & side to side) and brings the speakers out from the wall for a couple inches.

You can get some minor toe in using the keyhole mounts and some stick-on bumpers along the opposite side to create a few degrees of toe-in.

I also strongly recommend the mounting brackets, swivel. They do a terrific job and the toe in really helped direct the sound for my 50s in the rear.

My suggestion is that you read the instruction sheet and then install. Crank that locking screw and its great.

I also move out 2" to hit a stud. Even though it was like 11 pounds, you want a secure mount.
