I don't think I'm getting full bass power to the Triton 2's from the NAD T757 (other speakers are Sat 50 center at 100 HZ crosssover and 4 Invisa 525's at 80 HZ crosssover). The Triton 2's are set up as LARGE, subwoofer is OFF, no LFE leads to Tritons, just speaker wire. Bass dial on the Tritons is at 10 o'clock. All other speakers are set to SMALL. AUDYSSEY set-up wants to put the center and surrounds/rears at 130 HZ, but they don't sound as mellow at those settings.
In Sandy Gross's latest version of "set-up tips" for Triton 2's and 3's, he mentions that some receivers roll off the LFE output when it goes to speakers, to protect the speakers and/or receiver, and then it is better to add LFE cables to the Tritons, turn subwoofer ON in speaker set-up, and leave Tritons on LARGE setting, to avoid the LFE rolloff. Has anyone added LFE leads to Triton 2's from NAD T757's and seen a performance improvement, especially bass? Would the NAD T787, with more power also avoid LFE rolloff?

Thanks!
Rick

For movies? If so, run the LFE cables, switch Sub to "Yes".

Let us know and we'll add NAD (likely if one does they all do) to the list of ones that do this (we are starting to believe it is most all receivers now).

Would you expect different LFE rolloff for movies, vs, say CD player output, where all seven speakers are used in both cases? I.E. I don't route music to just the towers, either. I channel all music and movies/tv to all speakers, including SONOS, radio, CD's

Only affects sources with an LFE (.1) channel, so no difference on a 2.0 stereo CD.

How about bass signal rolloff (not just LFE) when receivers don't have subwoofer set to ON... have you seen/heard any evidence that some receivers do this, for the same reason, to protect full range speakers or the receivers themselves?

As far as we know, it is LFE attenuation only.
